It’s always busy in Design Technology with plenty of practical work by all year groups. Our A Level and GCSE students are finishing off their final project pieces ready for the deadline. Year 10 students are investigating electronic circuits and mastering the difficult art of soldering – this will be used to help them create an LED lamp. Year 9 students are working through short projects to give a flavour of the range of practical skills they will need for GCSE work. Year 8 students have been honing their carpentry skills to produce high-quality softwood bird boxes ready for the nesting season and, our Year 7s are at various stages of completing their acrylic stamps. A real hive of hands-on learning.
