Chris Bradford, renowned author, famous for his captivating book series including Young Samurai, Bodyguard, and Soul Hunters, recently visited Reading Blue Coat to inspire our Year 7 and 8 students. Organised by our fantastic Library team as part of World Book Day celebrations, Chris wowed the students with his dynamic presentation, bringing his stories to life.
Year 7s discovered how hard it is to train as a samurai, and were lucky enough to witness a demonstration with an authentic samurai sword! Meanwhile, our Year 8s explored the world of real-life bodyguards, learning about the techniques and skills crucial for protection. Chris shared the inspiration behind his books, leaving all students buzzing with excitement and eager to dive into his literary adventures.
