As part of Blue Coat’s Community Action. our students have been going to Cedar Court Care Home, in Reading, each Thursday during Activities to spend time with the residents there, having conversations and playing games, looking through memory boxes, and making cups of tea! The Year 10 boys and the Year 13 girls have really enjoyed it, as have the residents.

The final week’s activity was Christmas decoration-making, which was fun all round. Unfortunately, yesterday was our last visit until next year and pupils and residents alike were a little upset but also grateful for the last several weeks. The residents and staff were very impressed by the interest, politeness and energy shown by all students and we are very proud of them. – Mr Clark and Mr Mellows.
