We are delighted to add an exciting new event to the Reading Blue Coat calendar this year – the ‘RBC Arts Showcase’ in Henley-on-Thames. We hope this will be of interest to many of our community as we celebrate the creative arts achievements of our student body.
The Arts are an integral part of both our academic and co-curricular provision at RBC and our students flourish in the subjects, with many going on to university courses and careers within the arts.
This showcase is an opportunity to share some of the excellent work our students do, with both the school community and our local community.
The showcase is being held at the Old Fire Station Gallery in Henley-on-Thames. The event will be open to the public from Thursday 2 March until Monday 6 March, from 10:00 until 16:00 each day.
There will be an exhibition of artwork by students from across the School and we will also be holding workshops for local schools. On Saturday and Sunday, we will have musical performances from some of our excellent musicians and student ambassadors will be present to discuss their experience of the arts at RBC. There will be a community art project to participate in and art students (and staff) will be working on site, demonstrating their techniques and discussing their work.
We very much hope you and your families, your neighbours and friends, will find some time to visit the showcase in Henley; it is a fantastic local venue and we are very much looking forward to sharing and celebrating our students’ achievements with you.
