Year 9s rock out at Natural History Museum

Our Year 9 geologists thoroughly enjoyed a day at the Natural History Museum on Monday 16th January. As they walked through four galleries, they found that 30-40 new minerals are discovered every year; they pondered what they would put in a ‘go bag’, should an earthquake strike; and the jury was out on whether dinosaurs were warm- or cold-blooded. In addition to their academic learning, the students also endured somewhat of a workout, racking up 9000 steps, as recorded on one of the students’ fit bits. An enjoyable day was had by all.
