Welcome to the Reading Blue Coat Fitness Suite. The RBC fitness suite boasts Origin Fitness equipment, similar offering to most modern gyms of equivalent size. We hope to welcome many new members to the Fitness Suite, giving them a chance to access all gym equipment and facilities Blue Coat can offer.

Before using the facility, all users must complete a membership form, a PAR-Q form, paid the membership fee if applicable and received a gym induction from the RBC Sports Facilities Manager.
The gym is a members only facilities. Members must not bring guests who are not members.
Members may only use the fitness suite during the stated opening times in the table above.
Members training alone do so at their own risk and must carry a mobile phone within arm’s reach in order to call for help in an emergency.
All users must complete the user log on every visit (folder on the right as you enter the fitness suite).
Bags must not to be brought into the fitness suite.
Valuables should not be left in the changing rooms. Items left in changing rooms or brought into the gym are done so at your own risk.
RBC Staff may use the staff changing rooms. All other members must use the guest toilet facilities and may not enter pupil or staff changing rooms.
Food is not to be consumed within the fitness suite. Chewing gum is banned on the School site.
Mobile phones are not to be used in the fitness suite (except in an emergency situation or for music purposes).
Suitable gym attire is to be worn at all times i.e. T shirt/singlet, shorts & training shoes.
All equipment is to be sprayed & wiped down after use.
All equipment is to be used correctly.
All free standing equipment is to be returned to its correct storage location after use.
Personal weight training equipment is not to be brought on site without the express permission of the Sports Facilities Manager.
All defects or breakages are to be reported to the Sports Facilities Manager as soon as is practical.
All users are to behave in a courteous and considerate manner at all times.
Users must turn the lights off when they leave if there is no-one else using the facility.
If users unlock the Sports Centre front door in order to use the gym, they must lock the front door when they leave.
There is no smoking on the RBC site.
PLEASE NOTE:
There is no drinking water available within the Fitness Suite so users are advised to bring their own bottled water.
Any updates involving the fitness suite access or any other changes planned, will be communicated to all members prior to coming into effect.
RBC EVACUATION PROCEDURES
In the event of the fire alarm sounding in the School users are to vacate the building immediately by the nearest safe exit.
The meeting point for fire evacuations is outside Reception – during the term time day.
A member of School Staff will attend to assist you & the fire brigade.
Only the member of Staff or the fire brigade can give the all clear to enter the sports centre again.
In the event of discovering a fire & the alarm not activating – evacuate the building immediately, call the fire brigade (999 or 112), report the exact location of the fire & follow the above procedures.
The Sports Facilities Manager has the right to withdraw access to the Gym from any member who does not abide by the User’s Guide & Code of Conduct
