Having never been the most socially confident person, I was very nervous about starting both a new school and a new chapter of school life, especially being a new boy to Blue Coat. I cannot stress enough how much I have enjoyed the change. Everyone has been so lovely and I feel I have settled and fitted in so quickly. It does, of course, help that I have been heavily involved with the Music Department and have also joined the rowing squad, having been a rower before joining. This has been really positive and I have made two groups of friends with ease, I would definitely recommend getting involved to help settle in.

I have really enjoyed Sixth Form life at Blue Coat so far, being very different from my previous school. The teaching is great, the facilities are amazing, and although the COVID precautions have shaped a new way of school life, I am really enjoying everything about the school and the move.

If you are feeling the same way that I was I can guarantee that you will find your place so quickly, everyone is so kind and caring, and the school environment is just a wonderful place to be.
