Lego Robotics Club in good form at competition
Our Lego Robotics Club sent five students to the First Lego League competition at HP’s headquarters in Bristol yesterday. Competing against 18 other senior schools from across the country, our boys demonstrated both engineering nous and excellent programming ability throughout the day.
After three rounds we made it to the quarter finals and were millimetres from a third place finish. In the end, we had to settle for fifth place overall; still an excellent result against some impressive competition.
Our boys did not, however, leave empty- handed; we received the runner up award for Robot Design. This award reflected several months of hard work from the whole team and was well deserved. – Mr Gilbertson, master in charge of Lego Robotics
