Congratulations to our 1st Football 11 on their Gibbs (tri-county) Cup quarterfinal win against Maiden Erlegh yesterday afternoon, in toasty conditions. We came back from conceding a goal in the first minute, and then going 2-1 down, to win 4-2 (with goals from Mike (2), Paddy and James). A lacklustre first half finished 2-2 and we looked a little rusty but were trying to play the better football on a bobbly Berks Sports Club pitch, However, we played a much better second half as we changed formation and improved individual performances to deserve the victory.
