A successful Inspection report for our CCF
The annual review of Blue Coat’s CCF was made on 6th May 2016 by Major General Angus Fay, and the School received this report in December. The report noted that the CCF contingent has continued to flourish with a range of activities at a high level. The Royal Navy Section’s retention of the Hydrographic Survey Trophy was considered a particular highlight, and the participation of all sections in Remembrance Day was also commended.
Lt Col Selvester, our Contingent Commander, was praised and congratulated on his enthusiasm and job well done over a long period.
Every objective of the CCF, our organisation, training and administration, was all praised, and – unsurprisingly – the Royal Navy section was praised in particular for their strong links with the wider Royal Navy, field days and the training opportunities offered to cadets.
The various army training camps were also commended, as well as the RAF for giving pupils the opportunity for air experience.
In the words of the Major General: ‘A good report and very successful review’. Headmaster Mr Elzinga commented, after telling the School about the report in Assembly: ‘Well done and congratulations to all concerned.’
