Reading Blue Coat Celebrates Outstanding A Level Results

Reading Blue Coat today celebrates an exceptional set of A Level results with over half of all grades at A or A* and 20% being at the highest A* grade. Nearly 80% of all grades were from A*- B, marking a year of outstanding academic success. The overall breakdown of grades is as follows:

• 20.4% A*
• 52.7% A*- A
• 78.8% A*- B
• 100% A*- E
• 31% of students achieved grade A or above in all their subjects
• 9 students achieved straight A*s

(Number of candidates = 126)

These excellent results see students secure places on a wide and exciting range of courses at a variety of destinations with over 90% of students heading off to their first-choice university. Six students secured places to study at Oxford and Cambridge universities with others heading to Bath, Bristol, Durham, Exeter, King’s College London, Imperial College London and Nottingham.
