A powerful message from Bob Tait at Sixth Form Special
Blue Coat’s Sixth Form Specials every Friday are intended to expose our Year 12s and Year 13s to the wider world beyond the classroom, and equip and prepare them for life outside school. The 27th January Special by Bob Tait on Drug Education did just that. Covering relevant topics from the Border Control Act to reading the small print, drug driving laws to ESTA forms, and Molly & Mandy to DNA protein in your hair, Bob Tait captivated our Sixth Formers with his informative talk. A former member of the Royal Navy Drugs Education Team, Bob got the students thinking about why drugs are still in fashion, about the law and how it continues to change, and about their own ability to make decisions, but also the true definition of their own vulnerability. According to Blue Coat’s Sixth Form and Careers Advisor, Mrs Hayes, it was an “insightful and outstanding Special”.
