U15 rugby boys win County Cup final
Blue Coat’s U15 rugby squad can once again call themselves County Cup champions, following their convincing 67-5 win over LVS (Licensed Victuallers’ School) in the final match at Maidenhead RFC on Wednesday, 7th December.
After a hard fought semifinal, it seemed like the hard work was already done. LVS were no match for the RBCS squad – their skillset and organisation were far above that of the opposition and therefore regularly broke through the LVS defence. The score could have been even larger had the RBCS squad kept their discipline, conceding at least 20 penalties. Highlights were Dave Coleman’s solo try running in from 40 metres, and also the 15-man driving lineout, which resulted in Tom Price crossing the whitewash. What was also pleasing was the number of try scorers, highlighting what an excellent team performance this was.
Try Scorers: Jamie Vickery (2), Harry Clarke (2), David Coleman, Kieran Burgess, Josh Harris, Tom Price, Charlie Cox, Sam Jolly, Louis Brown
Conversions: Sam Jolly (4), Josh Harris (2)
