Five of our Year 7 boys recently had the excitement of being in an episode of Series 2 of “The Crown”. The scene in this Netflix series concerns a young Prince Charles playing a rugby match at his prep school, Cheam, in the early 1960s. The Blue Coat boys involved were invited, together with their Redingensians rugby team, to take part in the scene, which was filmed at Bramshill Police College in November. Thomas David, James Stewart, Sam Culver and Alex Gadd played extras on the rugby field, and James Newton was a “schoolboy crowd extra”. The rugby players are pictured here following the filming of their scene.
