Welcome to Reading Blue Coat Sports Facilities Information section. Blue Coat has several sports facilities available for hire in the evenings and at weekends, boasting a 4-court badminton sports hall, which also has both netball and full basketball court markings. Along with these popular sports, it also has indoor cricket nets and a fully functional climbing wall on the far end of the rear interior. Our sports hall currently plays host to a number of clubs, volunteer organisations and private hirers.

In the last few years Blue Coat has added to its already impressive sports facilities with the addition of a 5-a-side MUGA (Multi-Use Games Area), which has an ATP surface with line markings for both netball and futsal. This facility is fully floodlit and currently we hire this to various football bookings, but we do have a number of available slots, both during the week and at weekends.

On the school site there is also a 23m indoor swimming pool, with retractable enclosure to convert our indoor pool to an outdoor facility during the summer months. Again, we host a number of swimming, kayaking, and diving clubs here, as well as a highly successful swim lesson provider.  The swimming pool is fully heated, with an adjoining changing room facility.

During the spring and summer season, Blue Coat opens its impressive outdoor cricket net area for hire. This is a popular sports facility, offering 4 outdoor lanes, fully equipped with their own set of stumps.
