{"id":2146,"date":"2017-01-27T09:42:49","date_gmt":"2017-01-27T09:42:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.rbcs.org.uk\/?p=2146"},"modified":"2017-10-04T09:45:59","modified_gmt":"2017-10-04T09:45:59","slug":"our-public-speakers-shine-at-rotary-youth-speaks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rbcs.org.uk\/our-public-speakers-shine-at-rotary-youth-speaks\/","title":{"rendered":"Our public speakers shine at Rotary Youth Speaks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On the evening of 26th January, two Blue Coat Public Speaking teams travelled to Marlow to take part in the second round of the Rotary Youth Speaks Competition 2017.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2147\" src=\"https:\/\/rbcs.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/News-Rotary-Youth-Speaks-2nd-Round-445-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"445\" height=\"286\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The standard was incredibly high and our Intermediate team \u2013 Main Speaker William Peters,\u00a0 Chairman Ted Aplin and Vote of Thanks Miles Edwards \u2013 were narrowly pipped to the post. They were highly commended for their teamwork and slick presentation, and it was clear that the audience thoroughly enjoyed William\u2019s speech about first world problems.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The Senior team \u2013 Main speaker Isaac Doel, Chairman Luke Douglas and Vote of Thanks James Steers \u2013 were triumphant! Isaac challenged the audience to think about which charities they donate to and whether we are investing in the right lives.
