2 2 Link - up Although stalled in our plans for most of 2021, we were delighted to be able to host our much-loved Family Fireworks at the start of November and to proceed with hosting our annual Richard Aldworth Society Lunch which was last held in 2019. Invited guests were Old Blues who left the School before 1979 and joined for a wonderful lunch in the Buttery and a tour of the School. The Foundation Office also hosted a fantastic drinks reception and lunch at Henley Royal Regatta when our 1st VIII raced against Woodrow Wilson High School, USA in the Princess Elizabeth Challenge Cup for Junior Men’s Eights. Although they put up a tremendous fight they just missed out on the win but it was wonderful to have so many Old Blues gathered riverside to cheer them on as they boated. The Daniels Cup Festival of Sport also took place in June with Old Blues competing against the School in cricket; rowing; football and touch rugby...it was a win for the School who took home the Daniels Cup on the day but the Old Blues will be back next year, watch this space!
