What’s been happening in our community In September, we welcomed back those who left in 1999 for their 20 Year Reunion . Old Blues brought their families and were joined by former and present members of staff from their time at the School. In October, the inaugural Aldworth Lunch was held in the Buttery in School House (or Big School as some know it). Here we saw those who left any time before 1979 join us for lunch and a tour of the School led by pupils. Peter Van Went spoke on behalf of the Old Blues as well as the Headmaster. February of 2020 saw us hold our first One Reading Blue Coat event in the centre of Reading. Thanks to Steve Woodford (1981) who hosted the event at Haslams Estate Agent, we welcomed Old Blues and Parents to network with one another and hear an update from the Headmaster. Please note these events took place in 2019, before the pandemic. We had to postpone our events for the rest of 2020, but look forward to seeing you again very soon! 21
