Since 2003, Movember has funded over 1,250 men’s health projects worldwide, focusing on: mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. Prostate cancer often shows no symptoms until it’s advanced, making routine screening and early investigation of unusual symptoms vital. After Sir Chris Hoy’s recent diagnosis at just 48, the NHS is reviewing its guidelines to potentially lower the screening age to 45, a step that could lead to earlier diagnoses and better outcomes.
