Mr Chris Bond
Blue Coat’s Technical Theatre Manager Chris Bond has worked in theatre most of his life, with companies such as the Royal National Theatre, Royal Shakespeare Company and Royal Opera, as well as smaller provincial theatres, and he has toured throughout the UK and Europe. He won a Best Lighting Design Evening News Award for ‘Company’ by Stephen Sondheim, and was nominated for Best Lighting for ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ and ‘Twelfth Night’ and Best Sound for ‘The Steamie’.
Chris has supported students and taught or lectured at a number of institutions, including the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, the Guildford School of Acting, West Cheshire College, Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, Blackpool and Fylde University College, and St Paul’s School.
At Blue Coat, Chris also works with the technical candidates for GCSE Drama, helps teach Year 9 Drama, and works with the student tech crews on School productions.
