Miss Claire Holliday


Teacher of German and French, Claire Holliday completed her A-Levels at the Holt School in Wokingham. Claire went on to study both languages at Exeter College, University of Oxford, during which time she spent a year abroad in Germany as a language assistant and after her finals, completed an internship in the Paris offices of EDF. Following her graduation Claire spent time working in the recruitment industry, before deciding to make the move into the education sector. She gained her PGCE from the University of Reading and spent her year as a Newly Qualified Teacher at a school in Weybridge, before joining Blue Coat.

As part of the language programme at Blue Coat, Claire accompanies trips to Munich, as well as organising the Sixth Form Trip to Berlin. She is also involved with Junior Public Speaking club and the Primary Placement activity.

Outside of school, she plays in a competitive brass band, which performs regularly and has taken part in tours to Paris, Holland and most recently to Michigan. Claire also enjoys swimming, gardening, travelling and watching live music.
