Sarah Walker – 09/01/2019 – BBC Sounds

Blue Coat Geography teacher Dr Ben Pennington read Natural Sciences at Cambridge for his undergraduate and Masters degrees, specialising in Geology, and spent much of his time after university undertaking research on archaeological digs in Egypt as a geoarchaeologist. He completed his PhD in Geology and Archaeology in 2017, and joined Blue Coat in September 2018. This month, a paper which he co-authored – ‘Aridification of the Egyptian Sahara 5000-4000 cal BP revealed from x-ray fluorescence analysis of Nile Delta sediments at Kom al-Ahmer/Kom Wasit’ – was published in the Elsevier Quatenary International (Elsevier is a global information analytics business that helps institutions and professionals advance healthcare, open science and improve performance for the benefit of humanity).
