RBC Field Training Weekend: Cadets put to the Test

Over an intense 36 hour period, 15 committed Army cadets and one Navy cadet took part in a demanding military training weekend at the Bramley Training Facility. Designed to develop essential military skills and resilience, the programme included:

πŸ”Ή CASEVAC (Casualty Evacuation) – Simulating battlefield conditions to practise swift and effective casualty extractions.
πŸ”Ή Communications Mastery – Using the NATO phonetic alphabet for precise and effective tactical radio communication.
πŸ”Ή Fire Control Orders – Learning to identify and engage targets as a cohesive unit.
πŸ”Ή Day & Night Navigation – Mastering movement and orientation in all conditions, with a focus on stealth tactics under the cover of darkness.
πŸ”Ή Battlefield Organisation & Live Simulations – From early Sunday morning field lessons to executing four-section attacks across three fields, cadets deployed vast amounts of blank rounds in a high-intensity combat scenario.

The weekend was further enhanced by the expertise of a member of the Military Central Training Team, who applied his extensive military experience as a training instructor.

This was more than just training, it was an opportunity to develop leadership, teamwork, and combat effectiveness at the highest level.

Thank you toΒ  CFAVs Maj Scoble, WO Twigg, Sgt Pritchard, Sgt Smith and Sgt Hosford from the CTT, for their invaluable support.

Are you ready for the challenge?

Mr Martin Smith, Office i/c Army Section (CCF)
