Our first-ever Blue Coat Dance Competition was a huge success and an exciting new addition to our expanding dance provision. The event was made even more special by being entirely student-led – from lighting and costume design to music and choreography.
A total of 36 pupils took part, with performances highlighting their talent, dedication, and teamwork. We were also delighted to welcome back Old Blue, Lucy White (2024) as guest judge, supporting the next generation of dancers.
The competition was of an outstanding standard, and we are thrilled that the top six scoring performances now go on to represent Blue Coat at the Tone & Poise Dance Competition. They are:
•Lower School Contemporary Solo – Elise L
•Lower School Contemporary Group – Polly N-L & Elena S
•Lower School Mixed Style – Lucy L, Evie N, Poppy W, Josie B, Beatrix P, Elise L
•Senior School Solo Choreography – Jemima S
•Senior School Group Choreography- Henry C, Jemima S
