Mental Health Foundation

Please join Reading Blue Coat in marking UK Mental Health Awareness Week 2020. The theme for this year is KINDNESS. You can read more about it here: https://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/campaigns/mental-health-awareness-week/why-kindness-theme
We are asking all members of the Blue Coat community to do at least one deliberately kind thing each day, for anybody and everybody – family, friends, neighbours, pets, teachers … and share your experiences, thoughts and reflections.
#mentalhealthawarenessweek

💚 What does kindness mean to you
💬 George: Kindness “means being friendly and being generous to others, be generous to your friends, kind to everyone and generous to everyone

💚 Why do you think kindness is needed
💬 Lauren: “People all around you are facing challenges and uphill battles every single day, that you may know nothing about, now more so than ever before …
💬 Jim: “Everybody from time to time, needs a little bit of help
💬 Alistair: “At times of stress or low mood, a small act of kindness can lift my mood and help me

💚 How do you think we continue to be kind as a society
💬 John: “I hope this is one of the lessons that I and others learn after the lockdown… that it’s important to consciously think of others who matter to us, and then take the time to show them.

A huge thank you to the kind individuals who have shared their voice with you.
