Congratulations to our Young Enterprise team, Lignum, on being runners-up at the Reading Young Enterprise final last night – and also winning Best Pitch! Each team had a trade stand, where they had to display their products and present them to two sets of judges, who grilled them on aspects of their business. The key players then had to give a four-minute presentation, which was essentially a condensed version of their business report and crystalised the complex criteria that they had to follow – including process and results. Lignum have had a turnover of more than £1500, and a profit of more than £200. The team can now go forward to the county final later this year.
