On Wednesday, the Year 8 Spanish trip visited the stunning Montserrat Monastery, a Benedictine abbey dating back to the 11th century.

Having enjoyed a funicular railway ride up to the top of the mountain, the panoramic views from the summit were simply breathtaking.

Following this, the group went to Torres vineyard, and enjoyed a tour of the extensive grounds of this family run internationally famous wine-making business, and the pupils enjoyed a taste of ‘Mosto’, a refreshing grape juice.

A delicious paella dinner filled many hungry tummies in the evening.
