Farewell to Mrs Bennett after 26 Years at Reading Blue Coat
After 26 dedicated years at Reading Blue Coat, we say a fond farewell to Mrs Lisa Bennett as she retires.
Affectionately known as ‘Mrs B’, Mrs Bennett has been a truly exceptional teacher of Philosophy, Religion and Ethics. As a mentor and colleague to so many, Mrs Bennett has been an extraordinary presence in school life. A passionate champion of public speaking, she has inspired hundreds of students to discover the skill and thrill of crafting and delivering their own speeches. Her intelligence, humour and dedication brought out the very best in her students, who always knew they were in the safest of hands.
Her commitment, wit and wisdom (combined with a legendary stash of chocolate caramel bars!) will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of working with or learning from her.
In addition to the classroom, Mrs Bennett has played a vital role in the life of the school as Chair of the Common Room and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. Her contribution to our community has been immeasurable. Mrs Bennett is a rare find for a school and will be hugely missed by colleagues and students alike.
We thank Mrs Bennett for her years of care, brilliance and unwavering commitment, and we wish her every happiness in her next chapter.
