Computer guru Stephen Wolfram visits Blue Coat

Computer scientist, physicist and mathematician Stephen Wolfram visited Reading Blue Coat on 24 March to talk about his research company and his Wolfram Alpha search engine. He also discussed his new Wolfram language and the future of mathematics and computation. Head of IT, Mr Yates, found a tape and a box Wolfram made when he was a child. He contacted Wolfram’s US company and asked if it was his. It was – and Wolfram agreed to visit if he could when he was next in the UK. Students from Forest School, Shiplake College and Brackenhale were also at Blue Coat to hear Stephen Wolfram’s talk.
