Christmas Cracker 2018

A little festive fun from last night’s Christmas Cracker public speaking event in the Buttery.
The Junior Public Speakers hosted their annual Christmas Cracker last night – and Charlie K and Matthew W were the comperes for the evening. Parents and friends were treated to a feast of speeches, poetry and sketches, with subjects ranging from why cookery should be taught in schools, the role of technology in our lives, the much over-looked role of bass guitars, dogs are for life and not just for Christmas, and electric versus petrol cars. There were two Room 101 presentations where the speakers tried to persuade the audience that one of the following should be banned for ever: meat- eaters, wasps, minions, gigantic pepper mills, age ratings for films under 18 and pugs! – Mrs Bennett, Head of Public Speaking
