Another successful week of geological work experience, this time for our GCSE student Oliver, who spent a week with his mentor, geophysicist Emma Nesbit at BP, Sunbury. Thanks to Emma and everyone at BP for their time. – Mrs Finucane, Head of Geology
Ollie reported: “I have just finished my work experience at BP, working in upstream technology; it was great. Throughout the week, I went to loads of different meetings, met loads of new people, worked on seismic interpretations on a reservoir in Trinidad and presented a PowerPoint presentation two hours before finishing. I also went round the labs at BP and saw some really cool stuff, even an electron microscope! The geologists there said how lucky I was that I was able to do Geology as a GCSE, and they were all very nice”.
