After their success at the recent county schools cross country event, five of our athletes represented Berkshire at the East Inter Counties match on Saturday. Year 9 Sam Hodgson was excellent again in coming 5th overall in a very strong field, and Year 8 Chris ran very well in the junior race. In the senior boys’ race, Year 12 Eddie was the top Berkshire boy in 6th position overall, and Year 12 Max was placed 24th. In the girls’ race, Year 12 Ida came a very good 11th. On these showings, Eddie, Max, Ida and Sam all look likely to represent the county at the English Schools Championships in Leeds next month.
